Lanka Kade or ‘the Sri Lankan shop’ as this name translates is a UK based company dealing with hand crafted items sourced from small outlets in Sri Lanka. As a company they adhere strictly to the internationally accepted ‘10 Principles of Fair Trade’ and even supersede this with their own additional policies such as providing interest free loans to help develop these small companies.
As a company, Lanka Kade work mainly with independent retailers and insist their products are not sold on third-party websites. Their beautiful wooden and textile toys employ an educational aspect so children can learn through play and unlike their plastic counterparts, these beautiful toys are made to last.
An iconic stalwart on the roads of our great capital, the Natural Wood London Bus is crafted from sustainable rubberwood and hand painted in vibrant, non-toxic paints.
